Temples in Kathmandu

  It is believed that there are more gods than people living there in Kathmandu. There are approximately two crore, 90 lakhs people living there in Nepal. But there are 33 crores gods worships in Nepal according to Hinduism. In Nepal, People of various religion live. However magority are Hindus.

  In Kathmand, Lalitpur or Bhaktapur(Three capital cities of Nepal), there are numerous temples. These cities are also known as city of temples. If you walk just 2,3 minutes, you will reach big or small temples. Every courtyard (chowk), There is a small Chaitya(Stupa) at the center.

  People first worship Lord Ganesh before worshiping other gods. Due to hisa wisdom & obedient towards his parents, he is worshiped first. Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva, these three trios are believed to be creator of the world. Pashupatinath biggest Hindu Temple of Shiva is also in Nepal.

  Tourists from all over the world are attracted to Nepal to get view of these temples. They are central attraction for them. They are delighted to see this. At Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur Durbar Square area, you will find very ancient sculptures,monuments and pagoda style temples. These places are also in world heritage state. Besides them, they are also many other places like Changunarayan, Pashupatinath, Manakamana, Lumbini, Syoyambu,Bouddhanath, Mahabouddha, Golden temple, Krishna Mandir(Temple) etc. are very much attraction to Tourists. They are must visit place in Nepal.
